HOW TO CALCULATE THE PERCENTAGE OF CALORIES COMING FROM FAT ON NEW VS OLD LABELS
Watch this video AND read the written instructions below the video too. You must memorize this habit (and practice with Trish) to shed pounds sustainably as successfully as possible. You may not reach your long-term results if you don’t understand AND consistently implement this habit. So watch the video now and read the instructions below the video too.
Written instructions: “How to calculate the percentage of calories coming from fat on new vs old nutrition labels.”
Goal: 20% of calories coming from fat or less on a packaged product
How to calculate:
Identify calories per serving and grams of fat per serving. I.e. 120 kcals/serving and 5g fat/serving
Convert fat grams into calories from fat. To do that, multiple the fat grams by 9 kcals (bc there are 9 kcal in 1 gram of fat). I.e. 9 calories per gram * 5 grams of fat =45 calories from fat
Calclate 20% of calories per serving to know what 20% of calories from fat would be (ie if there’s 120 kcals per serving, 10% would be 12 so double that for 20% which would be 24 calories)
Is the answer from step 2 above or below that 20% (i.e. 24 calories from fat)? Above (45 is greater than 24)
